Honeybees visit about two million flowers to make one pound jar of honey. One single bee typically visits 50-1000 flowers a day. Although an average working bee makes only 1/12 of a tablespoon of honey in her entire lifetime, one colony can produce 30-60 pounds of honey per year.
The flavor of the honey is a result of the nectar of the flowers the bees collect. The color also depends on the flower in which the bee collects the nectar.
First, we need to tell you what we are "not". We are "not" a corporation or large commercial business. We are "not" reselling honey produced by other beekeepers or imported from China.
We sell our own pure, unprocessed wildflower honey. Our honey comes right from our own hives with all the goodness from nature. Our unprocessed or raw honey is not filtered or heated. It is contains all the vitamins, enzymes, pollen, and floral essences that the honeybees put into it. Our wildflower honey is derived from the nectar of many types of flowers blooming in the Spring Grove area.
Spring Grove Honey comes from our own hives on our own little hobby farm in Spring Grove, Minnesota USA.
